Raksha BandhanBeloved I offer to youIn tender allegiance anewA bracelet of floss, let me twistAnd violet, to girdle your wrist.Accept this bright gage from my handLet you heart its sweet speech understandThe ancient high symbol and endIn wrought on each gold-threaded strand,The fealty of friend unto friend.A garland how frail of design,Our spirits to clasp and entwineIn devotion unstained and unbroken,How slender a circle and signOf secret deep pledges unspoken!
